Our journey through the Spring\/Summer 2020 women’s handbag<\/strong> trends continues, exploring a theme previously touched upon when talking about fabric combinations. The retro echoes of the new collections are in some cases not only vague references but real explicit tributes to the fashion of the past, which we all remember fondly thanks to our mothers\u2019 and grandmothers\u2019 closets.<\/span><\/p>\n

The return of vintage is certainly not something new, in fact references to it have been evident for a few seasons already, but with the new collections we go even further back in time, to the 1950s: although sixties or seventies inspiration is still present, with hippie or country elements, the 1950s affirm their strong presence, clear and evident given the specific design that characterizes, above all, the fashion bags of the time.<\/span><\/p>\n

Bon ton style, polka dot prints or solid colors in warm shades<\/span><\/span>, structured or geometric designs: these are the main features that distinguish the women’s bags of the SS20 season characterized by a clearly<\/span><\/span> retro style, which can be found among the collections of three brands in particular: Axel, Coccinelle and Le Pandorine.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

\"Axel<\/a>Axel Accessories<\/a> is the brand that in this season embodies at best the retro mood from the 50s, with the Ida line, which offers three iconic models: the Axel clutch with wooden closure explicitly recalls the rounded purses with a particular rigid top snap closure, whose texture also reproduces the wowen effect of the bags of the time; the handbag, on the other hand, stands out for its rigid and extremely structured design with the typical top snap opening; the two-colored Ida handbag also emphasizes the typical design of the 1950s, as well as the proposed summery color combinations. Speaking of colors, the chosen shades are those of blue, white and camel, in solid color or even combined, perfect to wear in all circumstances during the summer<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0\"Coccinelle The Coccinelle <\/a>Adelaide women’s bag collection also follows the same trend, offering hand or crossbody bags characterized by the typical flared shape that characterized the wicker bags<\/strong> that were particularly trendy at the time: the Coccinelle Adelaide bags are made of smooth leather, which blends well with the proposed color versions, that is yellow for the most creative (and sunny!) persons, black for thoase who love a chic and bon ton style in all circumstances. The models are characterized by a small front flap with a chromed, pale silver-colored metallic closure and topped with a handle for a practical portability at the forearm. A contemporary touch is instead given by the removable shoulder strap, for those who want to wear the bag with a more dynamic and urban mood. <\/span><\/p>\n

Le Pandorine<\/a> investigates the 1950s with three collections of bags and clutches, on which, of course, the iconic printed statement phrases of the brand cannot be missing, always dedicated to the irony typical of the female world. The Maracaibo collection recalls the aforementioned style of wicker bags, being however made of multi-colored woven fabric, which gives a touch of freshness to this collection of handbags perfect to bring a summery mood to the city.<\/span><\/p>\n

The Dotty Pochette collection, on the other hand, recalls the passion of the polka dot print typical of the 50s and 60s in its most iconic variant in black & white but also in a more irreverent and chic version in white and gold. As the name of the collection says, the assortment consists of clutches and flat crossbody<\/span><\/span> bags<\/strong> perfect for the evening, ideal for those who want to wear real small jewels of<\/span><\/span> bon ton! <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

With the Etno Mini crossbody bags, however, Le Pandorine recalls the design of the vintage clutch<\/strong>, with the typical metallic snap closure, giving to the model an ethnic touch, perfect for the summer, with a hippie-taste embroidered fabric, ideal to wear on jeans or on a floating white dress.<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
