Starting from the raw materials, continuing with the production processes and ending with the quality tests, each phase of the Samsonite production <\/strong>plays a fundamental role, and for this reason the brand is considered a synonym of quality and professionalism, as well as an excellent example of an open company in innovation<\/p>\n\n\n

Nowadays, what is indispensable for starting the creation of a luggage <\/strong>is the choice of the most suitable materials, to meet the various needs of customers. One of the most used by the brand is certainly polypropylene: treated in a very particular way, allowes the creation of the Roxkin <\/em>and the Curv <\/em>shells. Roxkin <\/em>is a material created for the brand, obtained from polypropylene granules dissolved and transformed into plates, for a total of 28 overlapping plates; in the second case, on the other hand, the Curv <\/em>(a Samsonite patent) comes from polypropylene balls converted into yarn which is subsequently woven and thermoformed, in order to obtain light but very resistant luggage. This type of material can be found, for example, in the Lite-Shock collection.<\/p>\n\n\n

For the Magnum Eco<\/em> collection, on the other hand, the choice was made to use granules of recycled polypropylene dissolved and subsequently injected into the shell mold according to the “Aerobust” technique, which is based on the introduction of the liquid from five different points, in such a way to have a thinner and lighter final result. Furthermore, in the assembly of this model, a particular automated production was also used, through the “Snap it” system, which is based on the interlocking of the components.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Another type of shell that can be found in the Samsonite collections<\/strong> (such as Nuon<\/em>) is the one in polycarbonate, a particular organic compound whose purity determines a higher quality. For the realization of a suitcase of this kind, is used the overlapping of different layers of virgin polyurethane, transparent and colored. Each model is then finished with the extrusion process, which consists in the elimination of surpluses and impurities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Regarding soft luggage<\/strong>, on the other hand, nylon is usually used, which gives the luggage a more elastic structure, and to which polyester is often also used.<\/p>\n\n\n

Furthermore, lots of Samsonite suitcases<\/strong> are created using a repolymerization process, which allows to obtain recycled material from both post-consumer and post-industrial waste. In the Ecodiver <\/em>collection, for example, some components have the particularity of coming from the recycling of car windshield oil.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In some Samsonite products you can also find polyurethane, an excellent substitute for the skin, water repellent and which can be worked in different ways, so as to obtain many different types of effects.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
