Rimowa Salsa, the world’s first polycarbonate suitcase
Colorful and advanced, Rimowa Salsa collection is distinguished by the quality of materials and the high performance standards.
Salsa luggage born in 2000 marking the official birth of polycarbonate suitcases: as well as for the Topas, also in this case the idea derives from aeronautics, because the polycarbonate was often used in this field thanks to its ductility, strength and lightness.
Resistant to UV rays and temperatures between +125°C and -100°C, the polycarbonate is a hi-tech material that ensures maximum flexibility: even under substantial weights and pressures, polycarbonate reverts back to its original shape without damage.
The maneuverability of this collection is given by the double sliding wheels with Multiwheel® system but also by the telescopic and integrated double-tube handle, which allows to carry the luggage with the optimal comfort.
Other main features of Salsa suitcases are the Flex Divider System, an inner organization mechanism with modular dividers based on the arrangement of the contents, and the TSA closing system with combination, element required by US Customs for safety checks. Salsa collection design combines functionality and elegance with the recognizable striped design that distinguishes Rimowa luggage, and a palette of sophisticate and glamorous colors.
This collection is also declined in the Salsa Air variant, which gives greater stability and maneuverability thanks to the integrated one-pipe handle and the 30% reduction in weight. The inside of Salsa Air luggage is organized with fabric dividers and the outside is available in cool colors like light green, light blue or red.
Rimowa Salsa suitcase are therefore in the forefront of the new generation of rigid luggage sector, designed to ensure maximum strength under all circumstances without sacrificing design and elegance.
