History meets fashion: Scalia Group presents the new F/W 2017-18 collections

When history and culture meet fashion and luxury, begins a never-ending love story that we are happy to tell by bringing you into the new world of fall/winter 2017-18 collections.

Choosing the location to set up our photo shooting was heavily influenced by the need to find a place that belonged to the city’s history, which preserved its heritage, and that it grew up and changed with it. A monument, a prestigious and important space, an environment where it was possible to immerse and breathe the history, the history of Palermo.

Our attention has been addressed to a place that, from the very first moment, has stolen our hearts by turning us back in the centuries and imagining an ancient and glorious Palermo: the Archivio Storico Comunale (Municipal History Archive).
The Archive is the structure that preserves the original documentation produced by the organs of the Town Administration through seven centuries of history. It counts more than 7,000 linear meters of wooden shelving, which accommodate manuscript volumes that for the most part illustrate the history of the city through the centuries. A true treasure chest of the city’s heritage, an important place not only for its content but also for its envelope since we are inside an authentic monument: the abbey of San Nicola da Tolentino.
Archivio Storico del Comune di PalermoToday, the archive is used for the custody and preservation of documents belonging to Palermo and for the installation of exhibitions, re-evaluating the concept of the structure not only as a place exclusively for the benefit of historians and scholars but as a meeting place and exchange also for young people who will become depositors of this memory.
The blend of history, curiosity and contemporaneity, well illustrated by examples of splendid coexistence between contemporary installations and historical memorabilia, such as the particular spiral staircase whose upright is constructed with the trunk of a single tree, underlines the desire to cement the relationship between tradition and innovation, a relationship that is also the base of our company.

We chose the great room Damiani Almeyda, the Pollaci Hall and the Lucernali Room to capture what, for this time, is our story, a love story for quality, knowledge of materials and devotion for our customers. The walkable balconies and the large windows were the perfect background for the shots and the perfect scene for video filming, both expertly guided by the eyes and by the experienced art director Luca Lo Bosco dedicated to enhancing the mediterranean beauty of Francesca Zanetti, superb testimonial of our new collections.
The brands chosen to invite you in the renewed fashion world of Autumn / Winter 2017-2018 once again express all the passion and enthusiasm that have always distinguished us and want to be an invitation to discover their entirety.

The Le Pandorine handbags and accessories never renounce the ironic style that distinguishes them by offering models that express personality and character without sacrificing the design and innovative materials. Illusion line, for example, is made in sequins that with a simple touch will change fantasy by making each different model, as well as the ability to be worn to the wrist or shoulder strap.
And finally The Bridge the famous flag of Made in Italy that still represents today the perfect blend of craftsmanship and the English style of the brand. With the Dalston and Freestyle collections the shapes are more squared but the leather work remains a symbol that will inspire many, but no one will be able to match.
